Newsletter ~ April 18

Break a Leg, Rascals and Families!

Exhibition Night is tonight…..Thursday, April 18, from 5:30-6:15 PM!  Your favorite rascal will be your Tour Guide

as he (she) guides you through the evening.  Rascal Tour Guides are looking forward to leading the way while focusing on their classic pieces of work. Start in the Multi-Purpose Room. Pick up your very own copy of Rich’s Rascals “LOOK and SEE” program“Oh, the places you will go”!

We're on the move!  Do you believe we are going to start Unit 9 in the Imagine It Reading Series?  The focus is on Patriotism as we learn about the United States of America and what it stands for.  Long vowel instruction will continue throughout this unit.  After vacation we will review long vowel sounds, /A/, /I/ and introduce long /O/ with the two new sight words, boy out.

Math instruction will continue with review lessons in addition facts to the sum of 5 and 3 dimensional shapes.  Be on the look-out for papers reinforcing these concepts.

Math and Science go hand and hand.  Budding Botanists had a “SEED”sational time planting grass seeds and lima beans.  Green thumbs are doing their magic…

We’ve dug into the study of plants while we observe and care for the grass seeds we’ve planted.

Check out our plants when you visit our classroom tonight.  The big idea in Science for the rest of the year is Living/Non-Living Things. Ask us what we’ve learned so far.

                       It’s vacation…Have a Ball !!!!
