Newsletter ~ December 13

Greetings Rascal Families,

Sweet happenings will take place on Thursday (snow day:  Friday)!  Each one of us will construct a Gingerbread House.  THANKS to all of YOU, we have oodles of edible treats to adorn each house with.  Volunteers are still needed to work at our side from start to finish on this project.  It will be a jolly building day for all of us!

The last five 2012 school days are decked with merry events.  Following is the program:

Monday, December 17th ~ Show and Read !
Be ready to attend Buddy-Up with a second grade student (AM: Mrs. Dubisz, PM: Mrs. Lyscars) and read a book.  Original decodables will be used (They’re in color and at school.)  Note that we have re-named Show & Tell… Show & Read.  We are very excited to “Book It” with a second grade buddy!

Tuesday, December 18th ~ Spotlight on Cawley Students !
Performance by the Cawley School Band & Chorus !

Wednesday, December 19th  ~  Wacky Wednesday !
       Wear wacky socks!

Thursday, December 20th  ~ How Sweet It Is !
Wear colors to represent the holidays you celebrate in December while building Ginderbread Houses !

Friday, December 21st  ~ Welcome Winter !
Dress like a snowflake in blue, white and sparkles !

Accolades to kindergartners (behind every GR-8 student are Moms, Dads, Grandparents and Guardians, too) for impressive achievements in the year 2012!   We have come a long way since the beginning 2012 days in kindergarten!  Let’s celebrate by embellishing the Elf- Look- Alikes with New Year party accessories.  If you have any extra hats, light-weight noisemakers, banners, New Year toys, etc., please send them into school on Monday.    Thank you!

Remember to send backpacks to school everyday next week as projects will be sent home daily.  Thank you!

                                                            Be Merry!
